Correspondence

This section displays all correspondence generated from ScriptCheckSA and addressed to the practitioner.

The My Correspondence page shows the letters you have been sent by DDU in relation to ScriptCheckSA, as well as any files that you have uploaded to patient profiles, and messages that you have sent to DDU.

From this page, you can send a new message to DDU, read and download correspondence items, and, where relevant, click through to the related authority or patient.

The red indicator next to the Correspondence icon shows how many items of unread correspondence there are.

You can click the Mark all as Read button at the top of the correspondence grid to mark all correspondence as read.

Search and view correspondence

  1. From the navigation menu, select Correspondence.

    Correspondence for this practitioner is displayed in the grid in reverse chronological order.

  2. Select calendar to display all the date filtering options.

    By default, the filter is set to display correspondence added in the last 90 days.

  3. For each line entry in Correspondence, a Read or Unread flag is displayed. You can click the Mark all as Read button at the top of the correspondence grid to mark all correspondence as read.

  4. (If required) Apply additional filters to each column header. You can:

    • Click the calendar icon () at the top of a date column to filter on a single date.

    • Click the drop down arrow () at the top of the Sender / recipient column to filter by a sender or recipient. By default, all are displayed.

    • Click the drop down arrow () at the top of the Read column and select Unread to display only unread items. By default, all are displayed.

    • Type free text in any column header with a magnifying glass (). For example, you could filter on Type if you were looking for correspondence related to a particular authority type. Refer to the example below.

    • Remove a filter—click on the cross ().

  5. (If required) Sort the data by clicking on a column header. Click again to sort in the reverse direction.

    The Sender, Patient, and Linked To columns cannot be sorted.

  6. Select a row to open the attached document (and download it).

    The following types of correspondence are shown in the grid:

    • Letters sent to you by DDU, including letters relating to your authorities if you are a prescriber.

    • Messages you have sent to DDU.

    • Files you have uploaded to patient profiles.

  7. Column

    Details

    Date of document

    For letters, displays the date the letter was created.

    Date added

    For all correspondence, displays the date the item was added.

    Type

    Displays the type of correspondence.

    For example, “Authority to prescribe letter”

    • Inbound - Received by DDU.

    • Outbound - Initiated by DDU.

    Sender / recipient

    Displays either “Me” or “SA Health DDU”

    Filename

    The filename of the correspondence item. Click to view or download.

    File extension

    The file type of the correspondence item.

    Patient

    If the correspondence item is linked to an authority, the patient name is shown.

    Click to view the patient.

    Linked to

    The identifier of the entity that the correspondence is attached to.

    Click to view.

    Read Read or unread.

Download a correspondence document

  • Select any item of correspondence in the list to view (or download) the document.

    Depending on your browser settings, the document may open in a new tab.

Send a Message to DDU

The Send a message function provides health practitioners with a secure method to send an electronic correspondence to DDU about ScriptCheckSA matters.

  1. Select Send a message to open a new Message to DDU form.

    • Date raised - Today's date.

    • Status - Open (Default)

    • Topic - (Mandatory) Select a Topic from the list, or select Other and enter your own topic in the text field.

    If all required inputs have been provided and are valid, the message is sent to DDU.

    Your message has been sent successfully.

    Your message is displayed in My Correspondence (see above).
